Geof McKernan founded NSM Insurance Group as a commercial property and casualty insurance brokerage firm in 1990. After uncovering strong client demand for specialized insurance solutions to meet the unique needs of their industries, he began building his own programs to provide just that.

Since then, NSM has grown and evolved organically as well as through a series of strategic acquisitions across the US and UK. Today, the company is the industry’s premier provider of specialty insurance programs and remains committed to the retail brokerage services the organization was built on.
